What is MYAirline’s hand-carry and cabin baggage policy?

You are allowed to bring onboard two (2) pieces of baggage as part of your cabin baggage allowance, as long as the total weight of both items combined does not exceed 7kg.

The dimensions of a cabin bag must not exceed 56cm x 36cm x 23cm including the handles, wheels, and side pockets. This bag must be able to fit in the overhead compartment of the aircraft cabin.

You may also carry one (1) laptop bag, handbag, backpack, or any other small bag which must not exceed 40cm x 30cm x 10cm. This item must be able to fit under the seat in front of you.

Important notice: Multiple items that are strapped, wrapped, or tied together will not be counted as one piece of cabin baggage.

If your baggage weight exceeds the permitted cabin baggage limit, you must purchase check-in baggage allowance prior to the flight. Baggage purchases or upgrades can be done on the MYAirline website. This option is available up to four (4) hours prior to departure time.

Smart Baggage is allowed as cabin baggage provided it meets the following requirements:

  • If the batteries are non-removable, they must not exceed 0.3g for lithium metal and 2.7Wh (Watt-hour) for lithium-ion.
  • If smart baggage with lithium batteries exceeds the above limit and its battery cannot be removed, then it is forbidden as/in a cabin and check-in baggage.
  • If its batteries are removable, they must be removed and carried as or in the cabin baggage.
  • WiFi / Bluetooth / GPS must be switched
  • A maximum of two (2) spare batteries in the cabin baggage is allowed.

Can I carry infant formula, baby food, or breast milk in my cabin baggage?

Infant Formula / Baby Food: Yes, but only an appropriate amount of infant formula & baby food for the duration of the journey is allowed. This amount must also be in accordance with the restrictions on liquids, gels and aerosols (LAGs) by airport authorities. 

Breast Milk: MYAirline has no restrictions on the amount of breast milk that can be declared as hand carry baggage. However, the entry of breast milk depends on the security screening rules of various airports and is solely up to the security officer’s discretion to allow or restrict entry.

 

What is the cabin baggage allowance for infants and children?

Infants under the age of 2 years are not allocated any cabin baggage. Children aged 2 years and above will be given the same allocation of cabin baggage allowance as mentioned above.

Pockit™ baby strollers or foldable baby strollers are allowed as cabin baggage as long as it is within our cabin baggage allowance.

 

Are items purchased at the airport considered part of my cabin baggage?

All items purchased at the airport will form part of your cabin baggage allowance.

Only duty-free items packed in a Security Tamper-Evident Bag (STEB) which is sealed (until your final destination) and accompanied with proof of purchase, are exempted from your cabin baggage allowance provided it is within the duty-free allowance of your destination country.
